My employer is famous for deciding that he wants to hire a large number of people in a short time.  This is a recruiter’s worst nightmare.  For years  our company recruiters would nervously wait for the next hiring demand, then become overwhelmed with the enormous amount of paperwork required.  When we hired a new manager last year, she changed all that by installing applicant tracking software.  The boss still makes his lightning-quick hiring decisions, but now it is a snap to mobilize our team and get the job done.  Applicants process though efficiently and hiring is efficient, calm, and orderly.
