My wife and I both just lost our jobs because of the recession.  Fortunately, because we live in a college town, there are a lot of entry level jobs available that we can use to at least have an income while we apply at other places.  I haven’t had to wait tables for a long time, but I’m willing to do so if that’s what it takes to survive.  Both my wife and I have backgrounds in photography, so we have gotten some work here and there for a local paper and also for a wedding photographer.  So far, it is keeping us afloat.
