The Realationship Between Foot orthotics and intrinsic muscle strength
In these very recent days different health professionals widely used foot supports to treat a wide range and leg probles. One of the controversial aspects of the use of foot support or foot orthotics is the question if they weaken the arch muscles. Those who are opposed to the use of foot supports like to claim that they do. Those that use foot supports like to claim that they don’t. Finally some evidence is available if foot orthotics and intrinsic muscle strength do change. The evidence results that that they either do not decrease muscle strength and may actually increase it. The evidence does not support the weakening of the muscles.
